Genmaicha with Matcha Organic

This specialty organic Genmaicha sencha tea is a green tea, or "cha", that is grown high in the mountains of the Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan and is mixed with organic toasted brown rice, called "genmai".  This tea is sweet and nutty, bearing a remarkably unique flavor profile that is easily paired with food. 

Grown on a century-old family farm in Shizuoka, the leaves are harvested, steamed and rolled, and the finished tea is hand-mixed with toasted rice.The Genmaicha is dusted with Matcha to add an earthy and full taste complete with the benefits of green tea. It contains little caffeine and packed with many polyphenols and antioxidants, including Vitamin C. 

Origin: Tenryu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

Brewing Suggestions: We recommend using spring or filtered water.  Using 1 tsp to 8 oz of water, heat to 175F/80C. Steep 3-5 minutes.

One oz. Org. Genmaicha with Matcha yields approximately 11 cups of brewed tea.
