In the US, this tea is the most famous of all the Chinese green teas, and this particular tea is quite unique in terms of the work that went into painstakingly rolling each leaf into a tiny spiral that beautifully unfolds in your teapot or bag.
Smokey and vegetal with a healthy bite. Can be enjoyed as is or with sweetener. Gunpowder green is higher in caffeine than most other green teas (35-40 mg/8 oz serving).
Origin: Anhui Province, China
Brewing Suggestions: We recommend using spring or filtered water. Heat to 185F/85C. Use 1 tsp of tea for 12 oz of water. Steep 4-6 minutes.
