True to all Perú, Pangoa is a delightful coffee. Pleasant lemon and orange notes compliment sweet caramel and honey.
We recommend not over-roasting this bean, as its sweetness peaks at a medium roast level.
This coffee is sourced from an association of nearly 650 smallholder coffee producers, Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Pangoa Ltda (CAC Pangoa), located in the central districts of Pangoa, Mazamari, and Rio Tambo. CAC Pangoa was founded in 1977 to support its members by advocating for better income and higher quality production. The organization has provided zero-interest loans since 2007 for farms recovering from leaf rust. Similar loans are available for home improvements, education, and healthcare.
