"Way-Way" is back and this year's crop is outstanding in quality and taste, it's just what we expect from the region. With this light to medium bodied coffee, expect notes of sweet brown sugar and orange that appear on the cool.
This strictly high grown (SHB) bean roasts well at all levels, peaking, in our opinion, at a City to City+, or light-medium roast.
The ASOBAGRI Cooperative (The Asociacion Barillense de Agricultores) was founded in 1989 by members from 30 small villages in the Huehuetenango region, surrounded by the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes, Central America's tallest, non-volcanic mountain range, and forest reserves that circle the beautiful Laguna Maxbal. This coffee is shade grown under guava, plantain, and banana trees and is certified Smithsonian Migratory Bird Friendly, organic, and fair trade.
